Нужно перевести диалог в косвенную речь прошедшего медли.
Henry: Can you iron my shirt, Mum?
Mother: Your shirt? You never wear anything but T-shirt and jumpers, as far as I know.
Henry: That's right. But we were told that we have to wear something very formal today, like a suit or dark trousers and a plain shirt. Some important guests from the local Coucil are coming.
Mother: I see. So, what's the problem? Don't you know where the iron is?
Henry: Look, Mum, you know I won't be able to cope with that. And I really am in a hurry.
Mother: So am I. I've got a meeting and I can't put it off. Don't waste any more time, Henry.
Henry: You mean that I have to do the ironing myself, don't you?
Mother: Exactly. Get the ironing board and put your shirt on it.
Henry: Ok,done. What's next?
Mother: Pour some water into the opening on top of the iron.
Henry: Oops. I've poured too much. It spilled over onto my shirt!
Mother: Never mind. The water's clean: it won't spoil your shirt. Now plug the iron into the wall socket.
Henry: Hey, it's getting really hot! Won't it burn me shirt?
Mother: Not if you adjust the temperature dial to the type of fabric your shirt is made of.
Henry: How am I supposed to know that?!
Mother: It's the steam. The iron is ready to use. Go ahead.
Henry: Right. It's cotton. What's that sound?
Mother: It's written on the label.
Mother said that she understood but she didnt see the problem. She asked if Henry knew where the iron was.
