1)California is situated at the latitude and longitude of 37.0 N, 120.0 W. Bordered by Oregon, Nevada, and Arizona on the north, east and southeast, California's western border is formed by the Pacific Ocean, giving it a coastline that is 840 miles (1,350 kilometers) long, the third longest in the country.
