In this painting, I can see a young woman sitting on some rocks or large stones next
to a path by the side of a lake. She is wearing a long white lace dress and a hat with
some flowers on it and she is holding a red parasol. She is staring across the water.
There is a dog lying down on a small pier nearby. It is also looking out across the water.
They are in the countryside and there are a lot of colourful wild flowers around. They are
in the centre of the painting. In the background, I can see the shore and what looks
like a small village in the distance. In the foreground I can see the path and some
wild flowers. The artist has used rich earthy colours and the painting makes me feel
relaxed, calm and peaceful.
