1 They wanted to discover how the huge stones were transported 240 miles
from the Preseli Mountains to the Stonehenge site.

3 They dragged a thrcc-ton stone 12 miles from the Preseli Mountains to the coast of west
Wales, loaded it on a wooden platform, slung it between two rowing boats and started to cross
the channel, but the sea turned rough, the ropes around the stone came loose and the rock sank.
4 They failed to take even one stone to Stonehenge because of bad weather
conditions in the middle of winter.
5 They were a bit disappointed but found it enjoyable experience.
6 They will try again next spring and they still believe they can do it.
