Here are three first year students of law who have just entered the university. Katerina Xentidi is 17 years old and comes from Athens, Greece. I am looking forward to starting my new life with new friends and teachers, says Katerina, We are starting an interesting course History of Law. I think it is going to be my favourite subject. Our teacher is really professional and gives us a lot of interesting information. We should do our best to remember important dates and names. I think I am quite good at memorizing things. So, I hope to be a good student. Pedro Gomez dreams about his career of an international lawyer in the future. He knows how important it is for a good lawyer to speak English well, though he is not fond of learning foreign languages. To be honest, says Pedro, I find English a bit boring sometimes. But I want to be a lawyer when I39;m older and these days lawyers have to be able to speak English. So I39;m planning to try my best, even if I don39;t really enjoy it very much. I hope our teacher doesn39;t give us too much homework, though. Alex Kovalenko comes from a small town and lives in the students dormitory. I share a room with my two group mates. Though our neighbours are listening to music very loudly and are annoying us all the time, I am beginning to understand how nice students life is. It is such fun! We have dinner together, listen to our favourite music, chat in the evenings and, of course, we prepare to our seminars together. The subjects we study are quite difficult but our teachers always help us when we get stuck. For example, History of State and Law is a hard nut to crack. I try to read a lot of books to help me with my studies. You have to do a lot of work yourself to succeed. I am quite good at studying and hope to become a good prosecutor one day.
