In 1988 he founded the group Nirvana, and with it a new musical grunge style. The first organized group of them had the name "Fecal Matter". A talented singer, Kurt Cobain became a rock legend in the 1990s with his band Nirvana and his most famous song Smells Like Teen Spirit.
