This mid-morning snack is called "elevenses". "Elevenses" also means, of course, time for a chat and there is always a lot to talk about. Ladies talk about the weather and the latest fashion. Men discuss politics, business and the latest news. Mike and Jane work at an office. They usually have their "elevenses" right in the office room.
