We had a fantastic time this summer in Norway where my granny lives. We chose not to stay at a historic hotel neither live in camping. We stayed at my grannys house in the mountains with a spectacular view to fjords and a very old forest (with trolls, of course!). My granny lives high up in the mountains, so there is always thick snow nearby, and it is possible to make snowman even in summer! We really enjoyed quiet waters of a mountain lake and ate smoked salmon which we had caught there!
