One of the festivals worth mentioning would be "Vidfest", which is an event focused on the Youtube videobloggers and the industry of entertainment in Russia. Every year, about 75000 people come to the Saint Petersburg for the reasons unimaginable a decade ago! During the celebration, the subscribers (thats how we call fans nowadays) have an opportunity to talk with the people they used to only see on the internet, all the while listening to the performance of the various music bands or participating in the contests. I would consider "Vidfest" to be one of the most noticeable annual occurrences in Russia.
