The flag of Russia is one of the official symbols of the country. It is a rectangle consisting of three stripes. Stripes are of equal size. Flag colors are white, blue and red. The national flag hangs on all administrative buildings of the country, as well as on embassies. There are many interpretations of choice and symbolism of colors. Each epoch explained the meaning of colors differently. Since the time of Ancient Rus, it was believed that white color is the color of purity and nobility, blue color means loyalty, chastity and honesty, and red color is courage, generosity and love. Someone believes that the three colors mean Faith, Hope and Love. In the pre-revolutionary and Romanov times, there was its own interpretation of symbolism.
