He began his acting career at the age of 19 with a modest role in the film "Endless Love" (1981). In 1989 he achieved great success. This year the drama "Born on the Fourth of July" was released on the screens, where Cruz brilliantly embodied the image of a disabled veteran of the Vietnam War. The 27-year-old actor was nominated for an Oscar and won the Golden Globe. In 1996 Tom received the second nomination for "Oscar" and the Golden Globe Award for the main role in the film "Jerry Maguire". In 2000, he was nominated for an Oscar for the third time in his role in the legendary film "The Magnolia", and also received another Golden Globe. Tom Cruise is a very talented actor.
