Its not always easy for the old and the young to find a common language. This problem existed and would exist anytime. The relations between old and young people, between parents and children are studied by psychologists long time. Sometimes its so difficult that people need consultations and treatment for a longer time. Actually it happens between teenagers and their parents, when children become grown-ups and try to have their own thoughts and feelings. Many writers have stories and novels for this topic. They describe it in different ways and colors. I think the most famous novel in Russian literature is "Fathers and Children" by Ivan Turgenev. Its very interesting and useful for people of any age.
