Why we study English

Nowadays we begin to study English in the primary school or even earlier. Some parents bring their children to the language schools when they are 2 or 3 years old. But why is it so important to study English? 

We live in the world that changes very quickly. Each time there are less borders and more possibilities in it. People can not just travel wherever they want, but also work for international companies or in foreign countries. So, in order to be modern enough, to travel and feel comfortable in different places of the world we should study English.
