The Minotaur is a mythical creature that dwelt on the Crete. According to ancient Greek myths, the Minotaur was a man with a head of bull. He was born from unnatural love of Pasiphai the wife of King Minos and the bull sent to her by Poseidon. King Minos hid the Minotaur in a labyrinth that was built by Daedalus. They threw criminals into the labyrinth, there they were eaten by Minotaur. And also every nine years, seven girls and seven young men were thrown there. Among one of such groups was Theseus, who killed Minotaur. Ariadna, the daughter of Minos and Pasipai, helped him in this. She gave him a ravel of thread, which prompted Theseus to enter the labyrinth.
