The Far Eastern leopard is one of the species of rare animals on our planet. Their numbers are so small that this species is counted as endangered. According to the latest data in the wild nature there are only 57 individuals of these beautiful cats. Most of them live in the Land of the Leopard National Park and not more than 12 in China. Far Eastern leopard is put on the brink of extinction by humans. Previously, they were killed for their skins. After they were banned from hunting, man began to hunt other animals that are food for leopards. Also the destruction of the territories, in which these animals live, leads to the reduction of the population. Raising their numbers is almost impossible task.
