It was half past ten at night and Janice was alone in the house. She has been waiting for her husband to come home. She was watching TV when the doorbell rang . She opened the door and saw a young woman. She was wearing a long white dress and she was holding a bouquet of flowers. She asked Janice to call for a taxi. Janice asked the local taxi service to collect the young woman and returned to the front door. The young woman was not there but her flowers were lying on the doormat. Janice picked up the flowers, phoned the taxi service and canceled the call. Janice was puzzled by the young womans mysterious disappearance. When James got home, she was still sitting on the stairs. She showed him the flowers.
