It was the first time I saw her. 3) I saw him just as he was leaving the hotel. 4) I hadnt seen him before we met at the concert. 5) He had left the house before I had time to ask him anything. 6) He told me he had learnt it from the newspaper. 7) He entered the room, took something from the desk and went out. 8) There were two men in the room. One of them was writing something while the other was reading a newspaper. 9) He didnt tell me that he had received a telegram from her.
