For the first time this city is mentioned in 1190 under the name "Muddy Pond" (Liuerpul). From this begins the story of Liverpool.

By order of the English King John of the Landless (1207), Liverpool receives the status of Borough (city-county). At the same time until the eighteenth century, he remained a rather modest English settlement. It is worth highlighting the eighteen-day siege of Liverpool during the civil war (1644).

The city began to grow rapidly in the eighteenth century; after the importance of the transatlantic slave trade had grown, the port infrastructure on the west coast of Britain had to be developed, and Liverpool had an advantageous geographical position. As a result, in 1715 an open port dock was built on its territory, the first in England.

Liverpool for a long time was one of the largest shipbuilding centers in Britain. After the popular Beatles group was born in Liverpool in the 60s of the 20th century, it became the center of youth culture. Such is the brief history of Liverpool.
