The nature of each country is unique in its own way, and may differ to varying degrees even by region. Belarus is no exception. The nature of global geological and climatic processes has led to the types of landscapes in Belarus and the habitats of animals and plants. Other state protected areas include National Parks: Braslav Lakes, Narochansky, Pripyatsky, and the Berezinsky Biosphere Reserve. Their activities are supported by UNESCO.
The animal world is represented by 76 species of mammals (elk, deer, wild boar, wolf, beaver, hare, etc.); more than 300 species of birds are found. There are areas in Belarus in which a unique landscape has been preserved. There you can find many rare species of animals and plants. For their protection and the gradual restoration of populations, National Parks, State reserves and reserves were created. The most popular is the National Park "Belovezhskaya Pushcha"; ancient oaks over 500 years old, centenary ash trees, pines, and spruces have survived in it to this day. In the forest inhabited by many species of animals and birds, and among them - the largest in Europe bison population. Bison is one of the national symbols of Belarus.
