Hi (name),
Thanks for your e-mail, it was great to hear from you. I'm glad that you decided to visit Morocco. You won't regret it for a moment! As you know, I spent my holidays last year there. It was wonderful! You asked me if I could give you some information about the place. And, of course, I can.
So, Morocco is a North African country with beautiful scenery, fascinating history and lots of culture to explore. More than half of the Moroccan population lives in towns or cities. There a mans social life includes going to a caf to meet friends or watch television (particularly football/soccer). Women fill the traditional Islamic female role of tending the family and the home. A recent revision of the family law code of Mudawana due to changing attitudes has granted women more rights. Woman can now have custody of their children and the first wife must approve before a man may take a second one.
Morocco is a year-round destination, although its distinct regions of coast, mountains and desert mean that there are varying climates across the country. The best time to visit depends on which part of the country is on the agenda but broadly speaking, April and May are the best time to visit as for the majority of Morocco the weather is warm and dry.
There are a lot of interesting places in Morocco. Especially I'd like to highlight one of them, which called Essaouira. It's one of the top tourist attractions in Morocco. And not just because its a great city with breathtaking views, but also because its the place where season three of Game of Thrones was shot! What makes it more popular is that back in the 60s, this seaside town was a popular beach hangout for celebrities like Jimi Hendrix and Bob Marley.
There are also a number of fascinating festivals and events hosted every year. I want to tell you about one of them, Eid al-Adha. It's a global Muslim holiday that marks the end of the annual pilgrimage to Mecca. It is intended to celebrate the trials of the Prophet Abraham, who was asked by Allah to sacrifice his only son. To commemorate this show of faith, Moroccan Muslims slaughter an animal on Eid al-Adha, usually a sheep or goat. Much of the meat from the sacrifice is donated to others to symbolize the act of giving away something of importance to oneself.
That's all I wanted to tell you. I'm looking forward to hearing from you soon and have a great holiday.
Best wishes,
