Our world started millions years ago and it is very interesting to know how the first people appeared, what they did and how they survived.
Scientists say that the very first people appeared more than million years ago. They didnt look like modern people, they had long arms and their brain was smaller than modern people have. They could make some sounds but didnt talk. Their most important activities were hunting and finding the way to survive. They had some tools and improved them with the time. They learned how to make fire. They lived in caves and slept on animal skins.
Scientist believe there were several kinds of ancient people, for example "Homo erectus" who not only moved on two legs, but also tried to straighten his back. He was quite clever and was able to do a variety of stone tools: axes, scrapers, knives, spearheads.
On the territory of modern Russia ancient people appeared in the southern part of the country, the North Caucasus about 700 thousand years ago. People were united in small groups of 20-30 persons. They were called primitive human beings.
Over the time ancient people developed in what we are today. But this process took many many years, and I think we are still developing, so who know what humans will be in thousand years more.
