I want to begin by saying that both pictures show people dancing. However, the kind of dance the girls on the first people are performing is quite different from what the people on the second photo are dancing. I suppose the girls on the second photo are performing some kind of a folk dance, whereas the dance of the dancers from the first photo does not seem traditional at all. It looks more modern. As for folk dancing in my country, I do not think it is still popular. It was a few decades ago, but not now. Nowadays, people stick to modern kinds of dances like hip-hop because it is considered "cool" for some reasons. I personally  think that people should not completely forget about folk dancing.
 Some people considers traditions to be "an enemy of progress"  and stick to the point that we should no longer follow them, but I do not agree. Preserving traditions of our countries is very important because it teaches following generations about their past
