My name is Alex. Im 14 years old. I live in one of the most beautiful cities of Russia, in Sochi. My family is quite small. I have got a mother, a father, a younger brother and a cat. My mum is usually responsible for cooking and for buying necessary food. She prepares breakfast, lunch and dinner for all of us. Sometimes my father also cooks. It usually happens at weekends. Both of my parents are good cooks, which is why we prefer eating home-made food. However, sometimes we can also eat out. My father reserves a table in some restaurant or cafe and we spend a great evening together. It usually happens on special occasions. My favourite food is pizza. I like all kinds of pizza and other Italian dishes. For my birthday, my parents always try to arrange a pizza party. There are times when we simply order pizza for lunch or dinner, just because there is no time for cooking. Out of my mums home cooking I prefer Ukrainian borscht. Its a special red cabbage soup, which is tastier to eat with sour cream. Borscht is a traditional Russian and Ukrainian dish and many foreigners want to try it when visiting these countries. In general, I can say that I am a good eater. I like many types of food, among them fruit, vegetables, sweets and cakes, etc. However, there are some products which I dont like eating. They are mushrooms and fish. My mother knows about it and she tries not to use these products in dishes.



Меня зовут Алексей. Мне 14 лет. Я живу в одном из самых прекрасных городов Рф, в Сочи. Моя семья довольно маленькая. У меня есть мама, отец, младший брат и кошка. Моя мать обычно отвечает за изготовление пищи и за покупку нужных продуктов кормления. Она готовит завтрак, обед и ужин для всех нас. Время от времени мой отец также готовит. Это обычно приключается в выходные дни. Оба моих родителя хорошие повара, потому мы предпочитаем, есть домашнюю пищу. Тем не наименее, иногда мы можем кормиться вне дома. Мой отец резервирует столик в каком-нибудь ресторане либо кафе, и мы проводим хороший вечер вкупе. Обычно это происходит по особенным случаям. Моя возлюбленная пища пицца. Мне нравятся все виды пиццы и иные итальянские блюда. На мой денек рождения, мои предки всегда стараются устроить вечеринки с пиццей. Бывают времена, когда мы просто заказываем пиццу на обед либо ужин, просто поэтому, что нет времени приготовить еду. Из домашней кухни моей матери, я предпочитаю украинский борщ. Это особый суп из капусты, который лакомее быть со сметаной. Борщ является обычным русским и украинским блюдом, и многие иноземцы желают попробовать его при посещении этих государств. В общем, могу сказать, что я хороший едок. Мне нравятся многие виды товаров, в том числе плоды, овощи, конфеты и тортики, и т.д. Но есть некоторые продукты, которые я не хочу есть. Это грибы и рыба. Моя мама знает об этом, и она старается не использовать эти продукты в блюдах.

Food plays an important role in our lives. Often people have different preferences and tastes. Someone likes hot and spicy dishes, while others prefer softer tastes. For many people, a very important role plays the usefulness of the food. And there are those who prefer to eat only vegetarian food. In general, everyone has different tastes. As the wise saying goes - "Every man to his own taste

Everybody in our family is fond of cooking. My mother cooks more often than others. And I like to help her. However, we often experiment with recipes, because we love the variety. We use recipes from all around the world. We like Italian food. We often cook pizza, lasagna and pasta. More we like Japanese cuisine - a variety of rolls and sushi.

And recently, we decided to try the traditional British cuisine and cook the famous cottage pie. At first we were a little bit confused by the ingredients. But in the end it came out very tasty and satisfying.

In my opinion, cooking - is a true art. Food should not only bring satiety, it should be tasty and useful.
