Risk in our lives


Certainly, the risk takes a prominent place in our life. There is a saying: "Whoever does not take risks, he does not drink champagne" or "The risk is noble". These expressions glorify risk, but not in its first meaning. The dictionary gives us two definitions of the word "risk": the first means danger, the second - the effect on luck, in the hope of a better result or a happy outcome. It is the second value that describes the known expressions. Without this kind of risk, people would not be able to decide on an important act in their lives, because not always long thinking and common sense help to make the right choice, in my opinion, in most cases they give rise to doubt and as a result the person remains with nothing. Franklin Roosevelt said: "The only obstacle to the implementation of our plans for tomorrow may be our today's doubts." Life is just one and it's too short to waste time weighing the pros and cons. Rush and risk solve a lot. For example, if my dad did not dare to make an offer to my mother after two months of dating, then maybe they would not have created a beautiful family, and I would not be now. If Steve Jobs did not dare to create his own company, we would be deprived of one of the most important inventions. I think that people rely on chance and in the soul always hope for the best. What is most interesting, they succeed, they get the best. Of course, there are cases when the risk does not end in success, but it is better to do and regret than not to do, but it's too early to be sorry.
As for risk as something dangerous, it is worthwhile to be cautious when it comes to health and life. I am against such risks. For me, human life and health is the greatest value, and I think you should not deprive yourself or others of this value. For example, driving a car especially drunk or using drugs with the thought that it's just once. I think these are unjustified risks, you should not even think about it. Unfortunately, not everyone thinks like me, there are people who aspire to try everything in their lives, without regretting the means, and without thinking about the consequences. Still need to be able to see the face, where you need to take risks, and where not.
