I shall grow old, and horrible, and dreadful. But this picture will remain always young.If it were only the other way! If it were I who was to be always young, and the picture was to grow old! For that for that I would give everything! I would give my soul! This was the beginning of the end for Dorian. As a writer Oscar Wilde has never gone out of fashion and, indeed, is probably now as popular as ever. 

What is powerful about this book is the clever dialogue, after reading it  мейд me want to know a lot more about Oscar Wilde. You may be interested in movie version, however, the book will be the best because you involve your own imagination.
This book is worth to head a list "must read".
