                                             Albert Einstein

Albert Einstein is a German mathematician and physicist, one of the worlds most famous scientists. He was born in Germany on the 14th of March, 1879, to a Jewish family. His father was an engineer and a salesman.

Einstein wasnt a very bright student at school. He even had problems with his speech.  When he was twelve, he found a book on geometry which he read over and over again.  Einstein wanted to study math and science, but he  he wasnt very good at taking tests. However, in 1896 he entered the Swiss Federal Polytechnic School in Zurich where he studied to be a teacher in physics and mathematics. In 1901 he began to work as a technical assistant in the Swiss Patent Office.

In 1905, Einstein developed his famous Theory of Relativity. He published a few scientific papers and became a well known name in the academic world.  He discovered that light is мейд up of small particles called photons and was awarded the Nobel Prize for Physics in 1921.

Einstein was Jewish and he knew he would have problems in Nazi Germany, so in 1933 he migrated to the United States.

After World War II, Einstein was a leading figure in the World Government Movement, he was offered the Presidency of the State of Israel, which he declined.

Albert Einstein died on the 18th of April, in 1955, at Princeton, New Jersey.
