6) Scientists are testing out a robot that they hope will land on Mars. They are using the rocky slopes of the El Teide volcano on the holiday island of Tenerife in the Canary Islands to test the six-wheeled robot because the conditions are a bit like those on the Red Planet. The scientists hope to use the vehicle in the future to find out if there is, or ever was, life on Mars.
