Past simple.
1. I went round the shops, then I went to the cinema.
2. He went to the cinema yesterday.
3.  Did you go to school yesterday?
Past continues.
1. My mother was working as a cleaner that summer.
2. The sun was shining and the birds were singing.
3. She was sitting in the library from 2 till 6 yesterday.
Past perfect.
1. We hadnt reached the airport when it began to snow.
2. When I left my friends house I realized that I had forgotten the keys.
3.That was the best time I had ever had here.
