Dolphins are not fish. They are mammals. They have babies and feed them on milk. Dolphins live in groups of 5-30 members in warm seas in many different parts of the world. They cant breathe under water, thats why they need to come to the surface to breathe air. Dolphins have got a blowhole on the top of their head. They use it for breathing.

Dolphins havent got legs. They have got grey skin and a big smile. They have also got fins and a tail to help them swim. They can swim very well. Dolphins weigh from seventy to five hundred kilos. They live for about fifty years.

Dolphins have got good eyesight and hearing. They communicate with each other through chirps and whistles.

Dolphins eat fish and squids.

Dolphins are very intelligent and playful animals. They can play games. They like to jump and do acrobatic spins in the air. Dolphins are friendly to people.
