1. Be careful when you cross the street.
2. Look both sides before crossing the street.
3. Make eye contact with the driver of a vehicle before crossing the street.
4. Wait until traffic has stopped before you cross.
5. Use traffic signals whenever possible.
6. Dont cross between parked cars.
7. Use sidewalks when available, and do not walk in the street.
8. If there is no footway or footpath, walk on the right-хэнд side of the road so you can see oncoming traffic.
9. Wear or carry something light-coloured, bright in poor daylight conditions. When it is dark, use reflective materials which can be seen by drivers.
10. Watch for turning cars.
