One day my friend Holmes and I were smoking in our room after supper when Mr Lestrade came in. He often visited us as he could always get some help from Holmes, and my friend listened with interest to all his stories and was ready to give him advice. "Dear gentlemen," Lestrade said, "Id like to discuss with you a very strange case, though perhaps it will interest Dr. Watson more than you, Mr. Holmes. There is a man, who hates Napoleon so much that he always breaks his statues. Some months ago a doctor bought two statues of Napoleon and after that he went to the country when he came back he saw they had disappeared." "Your story begins to interest me," said Holmes.
