The sentences are in Past Simple. We use Past Simple for an action in past. There are two kinds of verbs. They are regular verbs and irregular verbs. We add the suffix ed for regular verbs. (To listen listened). Meet and take are irregular verbs. We use the second form of irregular verbs.

Negative and interrogative are formed with the help of the second form of the auxiliary verb to do did.

Negative.

1) My brother didnt meet at the airport before the party.

2) I didnt take this pill till afternoon.

Interrogative.

1) Did my brother meet at the airport before the party?

2) Did I take this pill till afternoon?
