1) Present Perfect is used for an action which takes place in the past, but the actions result is connected with the present. Present Perfect is formed have / has + the third form of verb.

2) Present Perfect Progressive used for a continuous action that has been finished at some point in the past or that was initiated in the past and continues to happen. Present Perfect Progressive is formed have / has + being + the third form of verb.

3) Present perfect and present perfect progressive are used to express that an action began in the past and is still going on or has just finished.

4)Past Simple is used for an action in the past. Regular verbs form their past with the help of the suffix ed. Irregular verbs take their second form.
