It is pointed out that the first day at school can be rather distressing both for child and for his mother and difficult for the teacher.
 The author suggests that the best way to deal with the situation is to get the child usd to the idea of school and to help him in everyway.  It is pointed out that at the beginning of the term the mother should take the child to see the teacher and look around the school. In conclusion the author writes that the first day should be something to look for and not to be feared of. 
I found the article useful as far as it is not only describe the frequent problem of any newcommer but also explains how to solve it.
